Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters (AIV) is set to empower 30 sons and daughters of the Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom through a digital skills training programme aimed at strengthening youth capacity, promoting self-reliance and opening up new opportunities in the digital economy.

The initiative, approved at the organisation’s recent management meeting, forms part of AIV’s broader commitment to community development and the advancement of young people through practical, relevant and transformative skills.

According to the organisation, the programme is designed to equip selected beneficiaries with essential digital competencies that can enhance their employability, support entrepreneurship and enable them to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital space.

AIV noted that investing in the digital capacity of young people is increasingly important in a world where technology continues to shape education, employment, business and communication.

Beyond acquiring technical skills, the initiative is expected to encourage beneficiaries to become productive contributors to their communities and active participants in the growing digital economy.

The organisation said the commencement date, training schedule and other relevant details would be announced in due course.

AIV reaffirmed that its commitment to the Arogbo-Ijaw people goes beyond news reporting, stressing that sustainable community development requires deliberate investment in people, capacity building and the creation of opportunities for the younger generation.

“Beyond reporting the news, we are committed to empowering our people,” the organisation stated.
