Ashoka Africa Sets To Partner With Lagos Ministry Of Education

A non-profit organization supporting the transformation of institutions and culture across Africa, identified as Ashoka is set to partner with Lagos Ministry of Education.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Mr. Abayomi Abolaji led other management staff to receive the team from Ashoka Africa, a non-profit organisation supporting the transformation of institutions and culture across Africa.

The team led by the Director of Venture and Talent, Ashoka Africa, Ms. Nzerem Josephine, is seeking partnership with the Ministry to promote 21st Century ideas in schools.

The engagement was a follow up to the earlier discussion with the Ministry on the proposed 3 days pilot program themed: “Change Maker Teachers Activation Program” was proposed ( Creating tools,scripts, resources and exercises) for 120 teachers across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs.

The training, according to the proponent, would acquaint teachers with the new leadership style and teamwork and bring progressive change to the Lagos State education sector.

The meeting was also attended by Director, Basic Education Services, Mr. Adeyemi Adebayo; Director, Co-Curricular Mrs. Olubunmi Sosanya; Head, Public Private Partnership, Mr. Pot-Balogun Sesi, and Head of ICT, Mr. Orokunle Michael.

The team from Ashoka Africa include; the Vice President,Youth Years, Mr. Okey Uzoechina; Communication Associate, Confidence Awak and the Project Associate, Augustine Emele.
