Ayiri still omitted as Olu affirms 7 other Chiefs

High Chief Ayiri Emami, the supposed Ologbotsere, the traditional prime minister of Itsekiri Warri kingdom was still omitted as the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, on Saturday, reaffirmed seven other chiefs in the palace.

Among the confirmed chiefs are Chief Isaac Jemide (Otsodin); Chief Sunday Rone (Obazuaye); Chief P. D. Yalaju (Kenekuniraro); Chief Francis Omatseye (Edigbe); Chief Oma Eyewuoma (Aboludero); Chief Mark Erumi (Chaplin) and Chief Richmond McGray (Oritseboluwo).

The affirmed Chiefs promised to serve the Itsekiri kingdom with their resources, adding that they would availed themselves for the service of Itsekiri nation.

The event which took place at the ancestral home of the Itsekiris, Ode-Itsekiri, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State was well attended by Itsekiri sons and daughters.

However, Chief Ayiri Emami is yet to comment on the development.

Meantime, the chieftaincy revalidation/confirmation exercise, which has been done in batches, would continue on Monday, 6th September, 2021.
