Chief David Pere for burial Oct 11, Service of songs Oct 9

The family of Chief Pere has announced the final passage rites of their son late Hon. Chief David Nane Pere (JP) who was the former Transition Committee Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council of Delta State and the lbediwei of lzansa, ljelejele, Ekeremor communities in Ogbe-ljoh Warri kingdom.
He died after a brief illness and prompt medical interventions at the age of 71.
According to a joint statement signed by Hon. Francis Oyimi, Chairman burial planning committee, Chief (Amb.) Francis Bomiebi (JP), Secretary planning committee, Chief Joel Ogbona, for Ogbe-ljoh Warri leaders of Thought , Capt. John Eyoroengagha for the family and Mr Martins David Pere for the children that on Wednesday 9th October, 2024: Service of Songs/Wake keep at his Warri residence No, 3 Usiayo street, off St. Mary’s Hospital road, off Airport road, Ogboroke Effurun Delta State by 3:pm
The statement further added that live music performance will be done by Chief. Kingsley Takemebo.
It also reads, “Friday 11th October, 2024, the body leaves Vennel Mortuary Warri by 8:AM through Miller Waterside via barge to his home Town, Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom in Warri South-West LGA, Delta State.
“Music by Gen. Best May JFred.
“10:30AM_ body arrives at Warri South-West Local Government Secretariat Ogbe-ljoh for Valedictory Session.
“11:AM_ Lying in state at Ewen primary school field for funeral service.
“1:PM_ internment at his compound Ogbe-ljoh.
“Entertainment of guests follows immediately at Ewen primary school field Ogbe-ljoh.

However, until his death, High Chief David Nane Pere was a prominent leader and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South-West LGA in particular, and Delta State at large.
“He would be greatly missed by family, friends, political associates and business partners in the Niger Delta region”, they added.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Amen”, they reiterated.
