The statement reads, “Dr Dennis Otuaro is one of us, a product of the emancipation of the Niger Delta struggle. His appointment gave some of us joy as pioneer members of the struggle that the original plans of the programme will be implemented.

“We are optimistic that with the appointment of Dr Dennis, the purpose why former president late Yar’adua created the amnesty office will be achieved.

The Niger Delta frontier, Chief Moni commended president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for seeing the need to appoint a core Ijaw in the struggle from Delta State as administrator in the amnesty programme.

He further added that Dr Dennis appointment was well deserved and it was a round peg in a round hole.

Moni charged Dr Dennis Otuaro not to be carried away by his exalted office but should be able to run an open door policy to change things for the better for the ex-agitators.
