Court jails Barber over death of girlfriend amid marathon sex in Kwara

A middle-aged man who owned a barbershop in the state capital of Ilorin has been arrested by the Kwara State Police Command in relation to the death of a young woman during a sexual encounter that happened on Monday.

The woman is said to have died during an intimate encounter with her partner at a guest home in Ilorin, and the police formally verified the occurrence on Tuesday, noting that they have begun an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday at a guest house situated in the Temidire community, Offa Garage area within the city.

According to an unconfirmed story from the community, the man might have been using drugs to impress his fiancée, which is what finally caused the unfortunate turn of events.

According to the report, the young woman felt tired during their interaction, lost consciousness, and eventually died.

The woman was allegedly transferred to a local hospital where she was declared dead after the boyfriend allegedly rang the alarm after she stopped responding. This caught the attention of the guest home staff.

The middle-aged man was later taken into custody when the guest home owner reported the event to the Police ‘A’ Division in Ilorin.

SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the Police Public Relations Officer, verified the occurrence and the arrest while guaranteeing that a comprehensive investigation is presently in progress.

“The event is real. In order to ascertain the precise events that took place between the man and the dead, thorough investigations have been initiated and the state police command has detained the man in question, according to Ajayi.
