Delta killing: Military moves swamp buggies to Okuoma Community

Following the heinous ambushed and brutal killing of a commanding Officer, 2 Major, 1 Captain and 12 Soldiers lead to a reprisal attacked on Okuama community, the Nige rian military had on Tuesday, moved in swamp buggies to the enduring Okuoma community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, in extension of their brutal reprisal attack on the community.

Congress learnt from a reliable source that the two swamp buggies were off-loaded from trailer-trucks into barges at the Bomadi Police Division waterside, was transported onto the creeks.

It is fresh that, last week, the Nigerian army were on a rescue mission when they were ambushed and killed by youths of Okuoma community, that led to a retaliatory attack and the consequent burning down of properties by the military.

The source, who spoke to our correspondent revealed that the heavy machines were seen conveyed on barges through their community waterways towards the direction of Okuoma.

“I saw the loaded barge passing through our waterways towards the direction of Okuoma, they’re swamp buggies but nobody can fathom their mission”, she said.

Meanwhile, the Akugbene community Chairman in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, have been freed from the Joint Task Force, (JTF) Bomadi Division.

She also emphasized that, the community chairman and others, who were detained over the fleeing chairman of Okuoma and other suspects, secured their freedom after producing the alleged perpetrators under the community’s custody.The the security challenges in Bomadi atmosphere is still tense, as armoured cars and military men seen on strategic locations in our communities.
