The youths of Delta State have commended the governor of the state, His Excellency Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa over massive youth empowerment, development and peace in the state.

This was stated in a press statement signed by Amb. Comr. Ozobo Austin, Special Assistant to the governor on political matters and CEO/Publisher of Congress newspaper on behalf of Delta youths.

The activist maintained that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is one of the best governors that have ruled Delta State in terms of youth appointment into political offices, youths empowerment through skill programmes, women inclusiveness in governance and road infrastructure in the state.

He added that Okowa is a true Democratic leader, adding that he is one of the few Nigerians that understand the democratic principles of strategic management and corporate governance.

Ozobo further stated that Okowa’s massive infrastructural projects were spread across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The statement reads: “No government in Delta State has appointed youths into political offices as being done by Governor Okowa in the state.

“He strongly believes in building the future by building the youths for future leadership. Unlike other governments that see youths as trouble makers. Delta State is peaceful because of the governor’s strategic engagement of youths. There is smile among Delta youths as of today.

“Again, he has fully engaged in programmes of empowering the girl child, women and other youth skill acquisition programmes in the state.

“He has appointed into political offices more women than that of his predecessors. He is truly a visionary and a patriotic leader.

“There is no gainsaying that governor Okowa has light up Delta State with massive infrastructural projects in the three senatorial districts of the state. There are huge road and bridge projects embarked upon by Okowa, many are completed and some are ongoing. He is really finishing strong.

“We will not be quick to forget his good works even if he leaves office by next year.
We as Delta youths pray for him for a lift to the the position of a president in this country some days.”
