Ex-Lawmaker Mrakpor Still Missing 6 Days After Kidnapping Incident

A former member of the House of Representatives, Joan Mrakpor, remains unaccounted for six days after being kidnapped from a church in Asaba, Delta State.

Mrakpor was abducted on Tuesday by gunmen who killed her police orderly and driver. She was then taken to a waiting speed boat on the River Niger and transported to an unknown location.

Despite reports of her death, the police have confirmed that she is still alive and efforts are underway to rescue her. The police are currently investigating the kidnapping and are on the trail of the abductors.

The incident has sparked widespread concern and speculation, but the authorities have urged the public to remain calm and assured that everything is being done to ensure Mrakpor’s safe return.
