Foremost Niger Delta activist and president of Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI has said Hon. Farah Dagogo’s arrest was a ploy to stop Ijaws from producing governor in Rivers state come 2023, adding that governor Nyesom Wike was provoking needless war in the state.

He said Ijaws in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Ondo and others are beginning to get provoked over what they described as unlawful arrest of Farah Dagogo, and a derogatory fight against Ijaw governorship agenda in Rivers state.

According to the activist, Wike is beginning a fight that would consume him, noting that he shouldn’t make himself a problem to Ijaws in Rivers and that he would be disolved like salt in liquid solvent.

Ozobo called on president Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on Wike to immediately released Hon. Farah Dagogo, adding that Ijaw is already provoked as being pushed to the wall.

He noted that Wike’s action could incite violence and he should be held responsible for any war and destruction of national assets in the state.

However, he called on all Ijaws to rise up to the occasion of Wike’s madness and ensure he should be taught a lesson.
