How LGA chairman died in his sleep in Rivers

Mr David Rogers Irimagha, the Executive Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Rivers State, have been declared dead.

The shocking news caused pandemonium in Bonny Island and Rivers state in particular.

However, the cause of his death could not be ascertained while filing this report on Saturday, but sources said that he died in his sleep.

“He was found dead in his sleep this morning,” a source, who spoke in confidence, said, adding that the entire council had been thrown into mourning.

Meatime, the deceased was among the second term elected chairmen who was inaugurated in April 2021 after the local government election in the state.
