IYC Zonal Election: Olu-Derimo, a man with a scorecard, “the popular demand”

The man Olu-Derimo Omaghomi, an Edolite, from Gelegelegbene Community, an Ijaw speaking area in the Edo state. He is a IYC Western zone chairmanship aspirant. He is popular demand for the contest. He has worked and served his people diligently. Very innovative, creative, proactive, eloquent, sagacious, competent, reliable, loyal, influential, a unifier and a symbol of Edo Ijaws liberation.

He is a man of many verifiable results. Olu-Derimon, as secretary of council in Western zone, with his influence, four persons benefited from the presidential amnesty program scholarship, one from Gbaraun, two from Egbema and one from Olodiama.

The scorecard continues, as a serving secretary, he nominated one of our Ijaw sisters for appointment as Special Assistant to the first lady of Edo State.

Again, by the grace of God, Olu-Derimo initiated and sponsored the post Boro day lectures in Edo State. Olu-Derimo was instrumental to the nomination of the current vice chairperson in Ovia South West LGA Edo state Hon. Blessing Pereware where he brought the IYC and INC to form a coalition to present her.

In furtherance of service, last year December 2023, Olu-Derimo Omaghomi proposed a bill to the House of Representatives in Ovia North East constituency II for the establishment of Edo State waterway agency or authority to regulate the waterway in other to empower the Ijaw people in Edo state and many more.
