Jubilation As Gov Kefas Appoints 1,075 Aides in One Day

In a unprecedented decision, Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has appointed a staggering 1,075 aides in a single day. This massive appointment surge was announced through a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Gebon Kataps.

 

The new appointees will assume various roles, including special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, constituency special assistants, community special assistants, and members of boards, commissions, and agencies within the state government.

 

This move adds to the 195 previously approved aides who are yet to receive their portfolios, bringing the total number of aides to 1,270. Governor Kefas’s cabinet also includes 22 commissioners and five special advisers with specific portfolios.

 

This extensive appointment spree comes at a time when there are growing calls for a reduction in the cost of governance. However, opposition parties in the state have yet to respond to these developments.
