Following the announcement of Napoleon Egin, Esq as Pere-elect, the Beni-pere lV, the Agadagba of Egbema kingdom, suspected hoodlums had invaded the traditional Palace at Igbudugbudu community and abducted him in a commando style after causing willful damage to the palace.

The announcement of the Pere-elect was done peacefully at the Ofunama community, the administrative headquarters of the kingdom.

The suspected hoodlums stormed the Palace at about 7:30 am on Monday with three-speed boats, numbering over 30 persons.

It was gathered that the Pere-elect was moved to the palace by the traditional council immediately after the announcement and the necessary traditional rituals.

The hoodlums beat up elders, women, chiefs, and other persons at the palace with the king-elect, they broke into the palace, destroyed major doors, and plastic chairs, steal phones, and moved the Agadagba-elect to an unknown destination.

When contacted Chief Williams JP Igbiriki, confirmed the abduction, adding that the Pere-elect was moved to an unknown destination by the hoodlums in the night and whereabouts are still unknown till Tuesday morning.

He stressed that the hoodlums caused major damage to the palace before forcing the king-elect to the awaiting speedboats.
