Just In: Ukraine allegedly falls 2,800 Russia soldiers, destroys 500 military vehicles

The Ukrainian military has said it had killed 2,800 Russia soldiers, destroys 500 military vehicles in a fight that broke out between the two countries on Thursday.

It was learnt that in spite of sanctions, Russia military bombed part of the capital city of Ukraine, causing heavy destruction.

However some destroyed military vehicles is seen on a street in the outskirts of the separatist-controlled city of Donetsk.

According to Ukrainian armed forces on Friday, it had inflicted heavy losses on Russia.

The Defence Ministry gave the figure at 2,800 Russian soldiers who had lost their lives on Friday.

The Ukrainian ministry also estimated that up to 80 tanks, more than 500 other military vehicles, 10 aircraft and seven helicopters had been destroyed.

However, the toll on soldiers and civilians was impossible to confirm as information from both sides were conflicting.

Russia claims it has not suffered any significant losses.

Earlier, Ukraine said more than 1,000 Russian attackers had been killed.

“We are strong! Victory will be ours!” the Defence Ministry said in its latest statement.
