Lawmaker Pondi honoured with surprise birthday by political associates, friends

Warri agog as political associates, friends and kinsmen honoured Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu federal constituency in the house of representatives with a surprise birthday on Friday.

Congress gathered that Friday November 19, 2021 was the birthday of the lawmaker.

The lawmaker who flew from Abuja to Warri to attend some functions during the weekend accidentally met a surprise birthday party at his residence.

The event was graced by personalities, including the Executive Director of Planning Research and Statistics, Amb. Shedrack Agediga, the Special Assistant to the governor of Delta state, Comrade Ozobo Austin, Former IYC president, Pereotubo Oweilami, President- general Comrade Community, Amb. Princewill Binebai, other noticeable comrades, CEOs/publishers of various Newspapers and others.

The lawmaker was given heroic welcome as he was ushered into the arena with trumpet artistes and birthday choruses.

Rt. Hon. Julius who also expressed surprise was immediately ushered to the cake stand as he cut the cake with his family.

The house reps member, while speaking expressed overwhelm for the show of love and strong support by his friends and political associates.

The lawmaker further appreciated organisers of the surprise party, adding that words are not enough to thank them as lots of resources were involved.

He however, described the gesture as a rare privilege, noting that he is indebted.

Amb. Shedrack, Pereotubo Oweilami, Emma Akpule and others who spoke at the event said the the lawmaker has done extremely well in the legislative business.
