LG Poll: Bebenimibo declares interest for Warri South West Council Chairman, assures of equal opportunity for all

The son of a foremost Gbaramatu leader, late Monday Bebenimibo, aka OKOROWOSO, a freedom fighter and Chief Priest in Kunukunuma in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta, Prince Meshach Bebenimibo, popularly known as Okorowoso has indicated interest to run for the chairmanship position of the Warri South West Council.
This is according to a statement signed by himself and a copy was sent to Congress correspondent on Thursday.
According to him, he is contesting for the position of the Chairman, of Warri South West Local Government Council for Trusted Leadership, the Creation of massive Opportunities, Equality and Justice for the deprived masses of the council.
While he stated emphatically that it was his turn to occupy the council chairman position, he berated what he described as a high level of poverty and lack of infrastructural Development in the Warri South West Local Government area.
Bebenimibo who was a former youth president of Kunukunuma Community, is a motivator and an author of motivational books. He stated unequivocally that he had what it takes to bring all-round meaningful development to Warri South West Local Government.
The chairmanship aspirant emphasises said youths who are drunkards and drug addicts would be rehabilitated and be equally empowered.
He further promised to renovate the dilapidated schools and build more with modern facilities. “We will give out bursaries and scholarships to our teeming students”.
While vowing to serve the council with honesty, sincerity and integrity, Bebenimibo appealed to all and sundry to support his ambition, adding he had a burning desire to add value to the lives and destinies of people in the council.
The statement reads, “I am contesting as Chairman, Warri South West Local Government Area for Trusted Leadership, Creation of Opportunities, Equality and Justice.
“The level of poverty and lack of infrastructural Development in the Warri South West Local Government area is appalling and needs urgent attention. That is why I am contesting for the Chairmanship position and by the grace of God it is my turn to occupy that position. I am the right man for the job.
“I have travelled to places across Nigeria where you will see a series of meaningful governmental projects done by Local Government Chairmen.
“My Father, Monday Bebenimibo aka OKOROWOSO was a freedom fighter and Chief Priest who fought for the emancipation of Niger Deltans whose legacy lives on.
“During the Niger Delta struggle, while Okorowoso was the Chief Priest in Kunukunuma Community, he never lost any of the soldiers he prayed for. Though he has kicked the bucket, he deserves some accolades and a reward system.
“I, Okorowoso son who is contesting for the Chairmanship position deserve it and “E Ke La Emi”, (emi lo Kon)
“Therefore, I appeal to all and sundry to support my ambition. I have a burning desire to add value to lives and destinies all over the world.
“As a former youth president of Kunukunuma Community, motivator and an author of motivational books, I have what it takes to bring all-around meaningful development to Warri South West Local Government.
“As a creative thinker, I will make sure youths of Warri South West Local Government are carried along by creating a conducive environment where I will train and empower them to become global entrepreneurs.
“Those few youths who are drunkards and drug addicts will be rehabilitated and will be equally empowered.
“We will renovate the dilapidated schools and build more with modern facilities. We will give out bursaries and scholarships to our teeming students.
“The elderly men and women will receive monthly stipends and empowerment.
“We will bring massive development to the communities that make up Warri South West Local Government Areas.
“I have come to serve with honesty, sincerity and integrity.”
