N-Delta youths Demand Implementation Of NDDC’s Dreamed Projects

The youths of Niger Delta have called for the full execution of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) Dreamed Projects in the nine states of the region to ease the current economic hardship.

According to a press briefing by Mr Adokiye Mugeton, the spokesman of the Niger Delta Youth in Port Harcourt, Rivers State chapter on Tuesday 20th February, 2024, said: “The youths were naive and optimistic during the inauguration of the commission. The dreamed projects of the Managing Director/management board, at the time and assurances, promise of 10,000 job Creation and the sole mandate of developing the oil rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria is but a mirage”

He expressed his displeasure on the manner the board had monitored the consultants handling the projects and also bit their imagination about the very sluggish implementation of the NDDC dreamed Projects.

He also added, “The youths across the Niger Delta have had confident on the Managing Director of NDDC, Dr. Samuel Igbuku led administration. But we regret to say that they are not living up to the expectations of the people in the Niger Delta region.

However, he called on the commission to ensure that they overhauled the staff that had frustrated the smooth implementation and administration of the NDDC dreamed Projects.
