The Niger Delta Nonviolence Agitators Forum (NDNAF) has appealed to the Ijaw people to support their sons and daughters in public offices, particularly the leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

National President of NDNAF, Comrade Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, made the appeal while speaking to media personalities in Abuja on Sunday. He lamented the tendency of Ijaws to fight their own people in public offices, rather than supporting them.

Ikuli emphasised the need for maximum support for Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, head of PAP, and Chief Samuel Ogbuku, leader of NDDC, describing them as outstanding and illustrious sons of the Ijaw Nation.

He condemned misguided protests and petitions against Ijaw public office holders, urging synergy and trust between elites and youths to resolve issues in-house.

NDNAF’s appeal aimed to promote unity and support for Ijaw leaders, fostering progress and development in the Niger Delta region.
