Abuja, Nigeria – Archbishop Professor Princewill Ariwodor has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign if he is unable to address Nigeria’s economic crisis. The archbishop described the economic situation as precarious and called for urgent action to revamp it.

Ariwodor also warned against the use of force to suppress the nationwide protests, emphasizing Nigerians’ right to peaceful protest. He expressed support for Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, who has been speaking out against the government’s handling of the economy.

The protests, which began as peaceful demonstrations against hardship and bad governance, have turned violent in some areas, with reports of looting and destruction of property. The archbishop’s call for the president’s resignation comes as the situation continues to escalate.

This development highlights the growing discontent among Nigerians and the need for effective leadership to address the country’s economic challenges.
