NURTW Leaders back suspension of Bomadi chapter chairman
By Stephen Asaba-ase
The suspension of the Bomadi NURTW caretaker chairman, Godday Awusa, and the appointment of an interim chairman, Tony Yerindideke, have been deemed necessary due to leadership tussles and misconduct allegations. The executive chairman of Bomadi local government council, Andaye Rawlings Dagidi, consulted with NURTW leaders and followed due process in making the decision.
According to the state chairman of NURTW, Francis Ariyor, and the immediate past state chairman, Ifeanyi Obi, the decision was necessary to maintain peace and unity in the union. They stated that whoever criticizes the decision is doing so for personal reasons, not for the benefit of the union.
The executive chairman’s office has reassured the public that the decision is in line with his administration’s goal of promoting development, peace, and unity in the Bomadi local government area.”
