Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori, has called on SPDC and other investors to return to Warri because his agenda of MORE will create a conducive environment for IOCs and other multinational organizations to strive.

Oborewori asserted this yesterday when he attended the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) Joint Venture (JV), Nigeria’s 63rd Independence celebration. The Governor was represented by Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA, at SPDC Residential Area Pitch, Port Harcourt.

However, the governor used the medium to urge the SPDC to come back and occupy their exalted position so as to play more prominent roles in building the society of our dreams in Delta State. “Deltans are peace-loving individuals, and the environment is very conducive for you to operate in with the MORE AGENDA of the government.

“All issues as regards hostility are now Alien. All ethnic groups now live to gather as one indivisible family.

“We can guarantee your safety and the smooth running of your operations in order to hit your production targets”, he added.

Present at the ceremony were the Managing Director and Country Chairman of SPDC, Osagie Okunbor, and other top SPDC management staff.
