Okowa orders reopening of Delta state varsity

Following the outcry by stakeholders, parents, students, the public, alumni and government officials, the Delta State Government has ordered the reopening of Delta state universities, Abraka.

It was learnt the governor has given ultimatum to the Higher Education Commissioner, Patrick Muoboghare and Delta varsity, Abraka VC, Comrade Andy Egwunyenga to get the University opened immediately.

The source said the Senate of the university was forced to meet yesterday and had to ask students to return to school immediately.

A stakeholder Mr Edafe who reacted said :”The senseless journey embarked by the duo has come to an end abruptly in total disregard to ASUU NATIONAL directive”.
