Ozobo, Ogedegbe, Atiku, Enudi, Arigbe, Ebakumo, others grace Kiagbodo annual convention

The Special Assistant to the governor of Delta state on political matters, Comrade Ozobo Austin, the DG Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights, CAHR, Omes Ogedegbe Esq, Comrade Monday Enudi, Delta state DG Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights, CAHR, State secretary Comrade Isreal Arigbe, Comrade Atiku Sunday, Comrade Ellington Ebakumo, SA to Delta state governor, Comrade Dickson Jatitor, coordinator Niger Delta Northeast Boko Haram victims rehabilitation movement and others graced the Kiagbodo annual convention in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.Ogedegbe Esq was the chairman of the event, while Comrade Ozobo, was the guest lecturer of the ceremony which was held on the Dec 28, 2021.It was learnt Kiagbodo community was agog as dignitaries trooped into the community in their numbers from far and wide to celebrate with the community in the annual convention.Ogedegbe who was the chairman of the event lamented over neglect by PDP led Delta state government in the affairs of Kiagbodo development, noting that politicians in the community have failed the people.He added that politicians in Kiagbodo should not only good at wooing electorate in an election but should also avail themselves during the time of need in the community.The lawyer, expressed disappointed in the absence of key Kiagbodo political leaders in the community’s annual convention, maintaining that such leaders were responsible for the underdevelopment of the community.Ozobo thanked Kiagbodo community for what he described as a rare privilege and honour given to him to anchor the event as guest lecturer.The activist cum politician urged politicians to fight crime by building the youths through skill training, employment, vocational training, education and moral training.According to him:” There is a saying that a society that fails to prepare for her future leaders is a failed society. Good parents will always prepare for their tomorrow by preparing their children to take over their reign.“Nigeria, Ijaw nation or Kiagbodo as the case may be, can’t be developed when the youths are suffering and sidelined in the scheme of things. Leaders in every circle should have it at the back of their minds that Kiagbodo, like other societies, can not develop appreciably without the youths being developed academically, scientifically, financially, spiritually, psychologically, mentally, morally, vocationally and physically”, he asserted.
