The leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme Leaders Forum led by General Godstime Ogidiga has expressed confidence and satisfaction with the outstanding performance of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dennis Otuaro, PhD.

The forum commended his achievements in the area of educational scholarship programmes, through which over one thousand students are currently studying in various universities across Nigeria and abroad.

According to him, the administration has also successfully trained six batches of leaders and stakeholders in leadership, alternative dispute resolution, peacebuilding and human capacity development programmes.

“Your unwavering commitment to securing a brighter future for the next generation is commendable, and we, the genuine ex-agitators, remain fully supportive of your administration’s efforts towards the sustainable development of the Niger Delta region”, it added.

“However, we wish to respectfully draw the attention of the Amnesty Office to the need for a vocational training programme. We humbly appeal to the Administrator, High Chief Dennis Otuaro, PhD, to use his good office to extend vocational skills acquisition and empowerment programmes to Amnesty delegates.

“We strongly believe that this initiative will equip beneficiaries with sustainable means of livelihood, reduce dependence on the monthly ₦65,000 stipend, and promote self-reliance.

“Be assured of our continued support and cooperation with your administration as it works towards the peace, stability and overall development of the Niger Delta region”, the state noted.
