Delta Monarch Receives SUV from Pillar Oil, Pledges Peace, Conducive Environment

The traditional ruler of Igbuku Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Ozu II, has commended the Board of Trustees of the Umuseti-Igbuku Field Host Communities Development Trust and the management of Pillar Oil Limited, Kwale, for presenting him with a Toyota SUV.

The monarch, who received the vehicle during a ceremony in the kingdom, described the gesture as a demonstration of goodwill and corporate responsibility. He said the vehicle would enhance his mobility and enable him to carry out his traditional responsibilities more effectively.

Speaking at the event, Ozu II also praised Pillar Oil Limited for its community development initiatives, particularly the empowerment of women through financial support to expand their businesses and the training of youths in various vocational skills.

He noted that although the company is yet to commence oil exploration activities in Igbuku Kingdom, it has already shown genuine commitment to the welfare of the people through impactful community interventions.

The royal father assured the company of the kingdom’s support, pledging to work closely with community leaders and other stakeholders to provide a peaceful and conducive environment for its operations.

Also speaking, the Elo of Igbuku Kingdom, Chief Pius Omasanuwa, and the Omonotomor of Igbuku Kingdom, Chief Jonathan Abanum, commended Pillar Oil Limited and the Board of Trustees of the Umuseti-Igbuku Field Host Communities Development Trust for the gesture. They reaffirmed the community’s commitment to maintaining peace and cooperation to ensure successful business operations.

On behalf of Pillar Oil Limited, the Manager of Community and Government Affairs, Dr. Emmanuel Eruvie, alongside the Community and Government Affairs Officer, Moses Akpe, and the Chief Security Officer, Mr. Chinedu Nwabineli, explained that the presentation of the vehicle formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at strengthening its relationship with host communities.

They assured the people of Igbuku Kingdom of the company’s continued commitment to community development and sustainable partnerships.

The ceremony climaxed with the formal presentation of the vehicle keys and documents to the monarch by Chief Pius Omasanuwa.
