PDP Congresses: Egbema group endorses Takeme for Delta party chairman

• Insists he is best qualified for the job

Foremost pressure group under the auspices of the Egbema Youth Political Forum, (EYPF) in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State has endorsed and supported one of the frontline aspirants, Chief Julius Takeme for the Delta State PDP chairmanship position in the forthcoming party Congresses.

The group reiterated that Chief Julius Takeme should be considered for the state PDP Chairman, adding that he had worked effectively for the party in different capacities, and without doubt he is the most qualified person amongst the aspirants to further pilot the affairs of the party in the right direction at the state level in continuation and effective delivery of dividends of democracy in the State.

This is according to a statement signed by its chairman, Barr. Ebigba Stephen Baidi, Comrade Karina E. Yoroki, Secretary, Barr. Ebiterigha Divine Ejemi, Spokesman and Barr. Odimiyentimi Festus Eyenmi, Legal Adviser 1 on Saturday.

The statement reads, “It is imperative to point out that Chief Julius Takeme is currently the PDP Vice Chairman and Chairman Delta South senatorial district, positions he is currently occupying after serving the state in different capacities in his ward, council area and the State at large.

“Some of the various political offices held by Chief Julius Takeme which gave him the opportunity to have reached his current level of leadership in the state are well enough to convince anyone to have the trust, support and endorse him for any political office at all levels.

“Some of the previous offices and positions held by Chief Julius Takeme are:

“1. Councillor Ward 10 Burutu LGA

2. Member of the ward Executive Committee, and at a time the acting chairman of the ward (10)

3. Chairman Burutu LG Council

4. Member Delta state technical & vocational education board

5. Special Adviser to the state Governor on special duties

6. Hon. commissioner for urban renewal

7. Burutu LGA Chairman of PDP, member & coordinator of various committees either in elections management and reconciliation

8. The current state Vice Chairman PDP and

9. The current PDP chairman Delta South senatorial District.

“We choose to wholeheartedly endorse and support Chief Julius Takeme for the State PDP Chairman for he has acquired a great deal of experience dealing with local and state level in the party as enumerated above. Chief Julius Takeme is politically intelligent and dedicated to the Peoples Democratic Party, going by his sound track records.

“We therefore confidently recommend Chief Julius Takeme for the State PDP Chairman, and we equally want to use this medium to humbly appeal to all PDP stalwarts at all levels in the state to do same and give Chief Julius the needed support at all cost, because his hopeful insight, honesty to continue in serving the party and state to deliver the dividends of democracy to Deltans is a fact without doubt.

“In conclusion, Chief Julius Takeme is a core party man, a strong PDP chieftain and a believer of the “MORE AGENDA” of Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s led administration under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Delta State”, the group added.
