Police intercept 85 suspected criminals in Jigawa

A recent crackdown on criminal hideouts by the Jigawa State Police has resulted in the arrest of 85 suspected criminals.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by Police spokesman DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the arrests were made during raids conducted in various areas, including Dutse, Kazaure, Taura, Sara, and Maigatari local government areas, between May 1st and 15th, 2024.
The raids yielded a significant haul of exhibits, including Indian hemp, Tramadol tablets, D5 tablets, Exol tablets, and other substances.
The suspects will face charges in court following the completion of investigations. The police operation targeted notorious black spots and criminal hideouts, aiming to disrupt and dismantle criminal networks in the region.
