Rainstorm collapses multi-millionaire Burutu event centre, wrecks police building

A ravaging rainstorm has collapsed a multi-millionaire pavilion (an event centre) and wrecked part of the Area Command building in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday morning when an heavy rainstorm wrecked havocs on the two properties owned by the LGA council.

It was learnt the pavilion which was the major event centre of government and other private activities was completely vandalized.

The source said the falling pillars and roof of the LGA pavilion destroyed part of the Burutu Area Command building in the community.

According to the source, no life was affected in the unfortunate incident which was caused by rainstorm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, effort made to reach the council’s chairman Hon. Godknows Angele for comment was not successful at press time.
