A human rights group, Conference for Human Right Actualization, popularly known as Confab has called on Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, to take decisive action against a contractor who allegedly executed a substandard project in the state.

In an open letter signed by its Director General, Omes Ogedegbe, Esq., the group expressed concern over the recent social media outcry against the contractor, stressing that governance goes beyond online ranting.

The group demanded that the contractor be blacklisted and prosecuted for mismanaging public funds, unless the whole scenario was a scripted political stunt.

“We urge Your Excellency to ensure that the contractor is arrested and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others,” the letter read.

The group’s call for action comes amidst growing public discontent over the alleged substandard project, with many calling for accountability and transparency in governance.

Details of the open letter below

Open letter to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori Executive Governor of Delta State

Your Excellency Sir,

We have been flooded with events relating to the social media trial of a contractor who was showcased to have executed a supposed most unacceptable job in Delta State.
We must remind you that governance is beyond social media ranting as the funds expended on the project are public funds so you must be responsive to diligently utilize the same.

The mere disgrace of the contractor is not enough as governance is not content creation.
The said contractor must be blacklisted and prosecuted unless it was merely a script barely acted to score political points.
We demand the arrest and prosecution of the contractor.

Omes Ogedegbe, Esq.
Director General
CONFAB FOR HUMAN RIGHT ACTUALIZATION.
