Rivers Assembly 2023: Akuro Gabriel wins ADC Okrika constituency ticket

Following the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and Rivers State House of Assembly primaries, John Akuro Gabriel has emerged as the party’s flagbearer of Okrika State Constituency.

It was learnt that Akuro emerged as the party’s standard-bearer in the assembly election held across the state on Thursday 2nd June 2022.

The returning officer for Okrika State Constituency primaries Hon. Abu P. Tamuno who announced the result of the primaries said, Hon. Akuro Gabriel polled the total number of forty (40) votes out of 70 votes to emerge the winner of the Assembly ticket.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the primaries, Hon. John Akuro Gabriel commended the party’s leadership and the delegates for voting for him.

He, however, vowed to secure victory for the party in Okirika Constituency at the general elections come 2023, adding that he would change the narratives from what they used to be to a quality and effective representation.
