Senate President, Akpabio Masterminds My Sack, Senator Abbo Alleges

Elisha Abbo, the senator representing Adamawa North who was dismissed by the Appeal Court on Monday, has accused Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President for orchestrating his removal from the Red Chamber. In an interview with journalists in Abuja shortly after the Court of Appeal ruling, Senator Abbo made the accusation.

Congress gathered that the appeal court declared Amos Yohanna of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected senator for the senatorial district by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), according to a decision made by a three-member appeal court led by Justice C.E. Nwosu-Iheme.

Senator Abbo claimed that four additional senators had been singled out for expulsion from the Red Chamber and that they were being pursued because they had opposed the election of Senator Akpabio as Senate President in June of last year.
