Stakeholders protest over abandoned Emevor-Orogun Road in Delta

Angry stakeholders of Isoko nation including men, women and youths have flood Isoko-Asaba expressway to protest over the abandoned Emevor-Orogun Road in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state on Monday.

The protesters also vowed that there would be no election in Isoko nation come 2023, except the road was fixed.

The protest which reportedly commenced in the early hours at 9:30am, Monday, April 25, 2023 lasted for several hours.

It was learnt the protest caused serious gridlock as travelers, motorists and commuters were stranded as major roads were barricaded.

The protesters in their numbers continuous to demand for the urgent completion of the abandoned Emevor-Orogun road while singing solidarity songs with placards.

They called on governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State to expedite the construction of the abandoned road before living office in 2023.
