Suspected Gunmen Kill Monarch in Imo Community

A yet-to-be-identified suspected gunmen have turned a community into a mourning mood as they killed the community monarch, His Royal Majesty, Victor Ijioma.

According to the report, the gunmen stormed the Orsu Obodo community, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state, on Thursday, May 25, and killed the traditional ruler of the community.

It could be recalled that the traditional prime minister of the Mgbele community Isama of Mgbele, was also assassinated in the same Oguta Local government.

It was reported that the Orsu Obodo traditional ruler was assassinated inside his car at Umuamaka Junction in the neighbouring town of Izombe.

However, following the incident, it was affirmed that military and other security personnel have expanded their presence in the community to apprehend the suspected gunmen
