Following the rising tension in Rivers State, the national president of Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, Comrade Ozobo Austin and leading Niger Delta activist, Comrade Daniel Ezekiel in a joint statement have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sack the minister of the federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike for plotting for the Impeachment of the governor of Rivers State, Mr Sim Fubara, a move which is capable of setting Rivers on fire.

The activists while throwing weight behind High Chief Pa Edwin Clark caution on the FCT minister, also called on High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, HRM Atete Tom, Asari Dokubo, Fara Dogogo and entire Ijaw youths to prepare for a total showdown with Wike in Rivers State.

The duo in a joint press statement issued in Warri called on president Bola Tinubu to sacked the F.C.T minister , Barrister Nyesom Wike , for wanting to cause break down of law and order in Niger Delta region.

The advocates equally called on what they described as disgruntled Rivers House of Assembly members to stop being used to truncate peace in the State.

The statement reads, “we called on all Ijaws wherever they are, especially His Excellency Governor Douye Diri, the Governor General of Ijaw Nation, High chief Government Ekemupolo to rally their people all over the world behind Gov. Fubara at this critical point.

“We further called on all PDP Governors in south-south to give Fubara shoulders to lean on by doing all they can to thwart the evil plans of Wike”.

“They further demand that the inspector general of police should call all police officers in the state to order, to avoid inciting war in the state”, he added.
