Unease as Tanker bursts into flames in Delta

A tanker containing crude oil product has bursts into huge flames in Agbarho community in Delta state.

The incident occurred at about 12pm when the tanker ladden with alleged crude oil product fell after a hot chase by the military operatives on Friday.

It was learnt the driver who noticed the military hot chase was running with a high speed when he lost control and fell on the roadside close to the Agbarho bridge.

The source said the crude content in the tanker immediately split over the road and ignite fire.

The incident reportedly caused traffic jam in the ever busy East West road at Agbarho community section of the road.

The fire was later put off the fire service operatives in Warri, Delta state command.

However, residents have confirmed the incident to our correspondent, adding that the incident occurred as a result of the military hot chase.
