YOU ARE CHASING US AGAIN AND NOBODY IS SAYING ANYTHING – ENAIBO CRIES OUT

We have not recovered from the last lost, another coming, they are asking us to close our eyes and put in few palliatives into our mouths as flood victims and they put a flood gun point on our heads as riverine dwellers and called it a natural disaster, yes, we can’t actually blame anybody, because they are not responsible for our predicament in Governance.

Natural hoodlums came in form of flood chased Kabowei King away from his own throne, from his palace with reptiles but the King refused to run, then Bobougbene, Ayakoromo, children and women were engulfed with fever and cold. In sickness after the 2022 ravaged flood the people, what did they do?

The flood cater away all our properties into river Forcados, livelihoods lost, we have not recovered, another one again, nobody has said anything in a Government conference how they could stop it, not even how to bury the casualties? Fishes bury the people in their own stomachs as flood Victims, what did NEMA do after the flood?

Do you think that concerned them, when they have their children in far away countries and big cities. No wonder they don’t show love to our cries, some cup of rice and 1 inches foams to unknown IDP camps leaders, where they will not listen even though you cry.

2023 Flood is here again to ravage our homes, oh! Talking Drum, I have been invited to go home.

Why should I go home? 2022 flood destroyed all our chairs, fish ponds, our mud houses collapsed, made those who have managed to build houses sleep on canoes, then we were made equal as animals, wild animals took over our houses, in fear we started running from our houses, and sleep on canoes. What did they do? Only selected towns with big names they visited then abandoned our villages.

Canoes become our only saviour as we pray to God for intervention.

The Aduo 111 of Kabowei kingdom in Patani is my witness, yet, Government didn’t say anything, 2023 flood is here again to chase us away from our home. What a seasonal calamity?

Tell Nigerians what we in the coastal axis did to those in position to help?

Instead of providing a solution, they only announced flood warnings, hitting us to leave our homes. Leave to where?

Bring floating house boats to our Communities so we could stay and watch the flood sink our houses, maybe God could hear our cry and maybe another promise to Noah will emerge, that he will not kill us with flood again.

Tell the Delta State Governor we are not happy, Tell the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Tinubu that we are not happy that flood annually chased us away.

This time around let them provide House boats tied at the entrance of our Communities as IDP camps, let those representing us take this house boats and canoes recommendations seriously, so that we will not go to unknown places to be more displaced than the flood victims itself with more pains.
