Delta 2027: Isoko Threatens to withdraw support for Gov Oborevwori second term bid

An advocacy group, the concerned sons and daughters of Isoko kingdom for good governance have threatened to withdraw from the re-election bid of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, citing neglect and total disrespect for the Isoko nation.
A statement made available to newsmen by the group coordinator Gen Omogha Wilson Ajiri alleged that the present administration deliberately moves to keep the Isoko Nation in darkness and under development were a calculated attempt to weaken Isoko nation politically.
Omogha, emphasised that several letters were sent to government house, protests to government house, and all efforts to draw the attention of the Governor to that effect were proven abortive.
The group said, “Therefore, we call on well meaning indegenes of Isoko North and Isoko South to withdraw all support to Governor Oborevweri, as he pays deft ear to the cry and complaints of Isoko Nation.
“This is a deliberate act of marginalization and that the ‘used and dumped’ attitude of politicians is unacceptable”.
Omogha called for calm, unity and focus on actualizing the Isoko Nation development and youths empowerment. “Isoko will never again play the role of second fiddle in Delta State politics”, the group added.
