Anxiety as suspected gunmen kidnap mother, children in Delta

Suspected gunmen have kidnapped a housewife whose identity was disclosed as Faith and her children in Sapele, headquarters of Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.

A resident who pleaded on condition of anonymity asserted that the unknown gunmen which are yet to be identified drove away the victims in the family’s Toyota Sienna car, 2007 model.

It was gathered the incident occured at about 10:00pm on Friday night when the mother and her beloved children were returning home on closing from a cosmetic shop at Okirighwre Junction.

The source maintained that, the husband of the victim was trying to open the main gate when the unknown gunmen nimbly struck at the entrance to the family’s Ojo Alaba Street in Okirighwre residence.

Witnesses said that the gunmen suddenly struck and ambushed the unsuspecting family at the headquarters of Sapele Local Government Area.

The embattled husband was quoted as posting on Sapele Matters, a Facebook page, saying, “My family has just been kidnapped in my Sienna Car at Ojo Alaba Street Okirighwre”.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Delta State Command, DSP Edafe Bright, could not confirmed the incident when contacted by newsmen as at the time of the incident
