CSO, CEPEJ Urges President Tinubu to Address Nigerians
By Stephen Asaba-ase
The Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address Nigerians regarding the ongoing #EndBadGovernance and #Hunger protests across the nation. CEPEJ’s National Coordinator, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, made the appeal in Abuja, urging protesters to remain peaceful and law-abiding.
According to CEPEJ, over 80% of Nigerians are indirectly involved in the protests due to hunger and hardship. While acknowledging President Tinubu’s efforts in signing various bills into law, CEPEJ appealed to him to address the protesters’ concerns and establish a joint-stakeholders committee to address the issues raised.
The organization sympathised with families who have lost loved ones and properties during the protests and urged the government to ensure Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy and good governance.
