The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has celebrated the Court of Appeal’s unanimous decision affirming the eligibility of its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, in the upcoming Edo State Governorship election on September 21, 2024. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, hailed the judgment as a significant triumph of truth over the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s alleged lies and propaganda.

Ologunagba stated that the Appeal Court’s validation of Ighodalo’s INEC Voter’s Card authenticity exposes the APC’s court cases against him as baseless and aimed at distracting the PDP candidate and the people of Edo State. He emphasized that the APC’s desperation to stop Ighodalo with multiple court cases is a testament to their candidate, Monday Okpebholo’s, lack of competitiveness.

The PDP urged the APC to reconsider their participation in the election, citing the Court of Appeal’s judgment as a significant blow to their chances. The party commended the people of Edo State for their support and encouraged them to remain steadfast as they work towards a collective victory.
