Fuel Hike: Warri Women, Keke Riders Stage Protest, Urge Tinubu to Intervene
By Stephen Asaba-ase
Hundreds of market women and Keke Riders in Warri, Delta State, took to the streets today to protest the recent increment in fuel prices. The protesters, who marched through the major roads, called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently intervene and reverse the price hike.
Carrying placards and chanting slogans, the protesters expressed their frustration and anger over the government’s decision to increase fuel prices to N1100 per litre, which they say has worsened their economic struggles. They urged President Tinubu to take immediate action to address the situation and provide relief to Nigerians.
The protest was peaceful, maintaining order. However, the protesters’ message was clear: they want the government to act now to alleviate their suffering.”
