Girl Child’s Day: Confab, Enudi, Ozobo warn against negative use of internet

The Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights, CAHR, state director, Comrade Monday Enudi and the National secretary of the group, Comrade Ozobo Austin have warned the Girl Child against negative use of the internet as it is capable of destroying their futures.

This was stated by the duo while addressing female students in Warri during an event held to mark this year’s International Girl Child’s Day on Wednesday.

The programme which was put up by the Initiative for Peace and Stability ln Conjunction with the Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights CAHR, was meant to educate the girl’s child on their rights and the negative effects of the internet.Speaking at the event titled: ” Digital Generation;Our generation”, the rights advocates said more had to be done to protect the girl’s child from negative societal influences.The rights chiefs, maintained that the girl’s child had been negatively influenced by the internet, adding that more cares should be taken to stop the trend.While educating them on their rights, the duo warned the girl’s child against child’s pregnancy, cultism, bad association, prostitution and other related crimes capable of ruining their future and education.The programme ended up with the distribution of sanitary pads to female students.However, the Confab team was flanked by Comrade Isreal Arigbe, state secretary Comrade Wale, Assistant state secretary and others.
