IPOB Fighter Attacks Military Base In Imo State

The men of the Nigerian Army have naturalized an attack on the Forward Operating Base by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in Imo State.
This is according to a statement signed by Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the director of Army Public Relations.
The Army stated that the IPOB fighters who attempted the attack on its base were met with stiff resistance by the personnel on duty.
Onyema noted that the troops foiled an attack by the Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network.
According to information, the attack occurred on 20th August 2023 but met their Waterloo when they came under the superior firepower of the vigilant troops.
Items recovered from IPOB fighters include a vehicle, one mobile phone, one machete, and nine empty cases of expanded 7.62 mm special ammunition.
