Chief (Comrade) Mulade Sheriff (PhD), has officially declared his intention to contest the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections under the Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC). The announcement was made in a press release on Tuesday, highlighting his commitment to transformative leadership, community unity, and people-focused governance.
According to his declaration, Chief Mulade appealed to the electorate to make informed decisions at the polls, emphasizing the importance of choosing leaders with integrity, vision, and a track record of service. “I am your own, and I pledge to provide purposeful, inclusive, and result-oriented representation. My administration will focus on economic empowerment, employment creation, skills acquisition, and ensuring accessible and dependable governance for all constituents,” he stated.
Mulade further urged politicians across the constituency to engage in issue-based campaigns grounded in civility and decorum, steering clear of personal attacks, hate, and divisive rhetoric. “After the election, we remain one indivisible people. Our collective focus must be on unity, progress, and the welfare of every member of society,” he added.
Central to Chief Mulade’s vision is a commitment to empowering the most vulnerable members of society, including youths, women, and the elderly. He emphasised that these groups are critical to societal growth and deserve targeted interventions, sustainable support programs, and policies that enhance their participation in the socio-economic development of the constituency.
Chief Mulade Sheriff, the Ibe-Serimowei of the historic Gbaramatu Kingdom, concluded by assuring constituents that his tenure, if given the mandate, will embody transparency, accountability, and a deep commitment to elevating the Warri Federal Constituency to new heights of development and peaceful coexistence among the various ethnic groups.
