JUST IN: Nigeria’s Super Eagles Left Stranded at Libya Airport

The Nigeria national team has decried over a distressing condition at Libyan airport for several hours, lamenting the ugly situation they are experiencing now.

 

This was contained in a statement obtained from the CAF website on Monday afternoon.

 

Meanwhile, the Confederation of Africa Football Federation highlighted prompt steps to engage by the Libyan and Nigerian authorities, adding that the team and their staff were left stranded under bad conditions for several hours.

 

However, the CAF’s Disciplinary Board is currently investigating the incident

 

 

“The Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) has been in contact with the Libyan and Nigerian officials after it was informed that the Super Eagles and their technical team were abandoned in an ungodly conditions for several hours at the Libyan airport.

 

“The matter has been taken to the appropriate CAF Disciplinary Board for investigation, and a decisive action will be taken against those who contravened the CAF Laws Regulations,” it read.
