JUST IN: Tinubu Holds Emergency Close-Door Meeting With Security Council

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is presently holding a meeting with the Security Council at the Presidential Villa.

 

The meeting which commenced at 2:00 pm had in attendance the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, National Security Adviser to the President, all Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, the Comptroller Generals of Custom and Immigration, as well as the Chief of Staff to the President.

 

Meanwhile, the service chiefs and Inspector General of Police, among others that are in attendance will address the President on the security report in the country.

 

However, the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting that had a session at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, was suddenly cancelled.

 

The crucial meeting was set to take place in the Council Chamber, following President Bola Tinubu’s national telecast on Sunday which attempted to address the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.

 

No reason was given for the abrupt cancellation of the meeting.
