The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Olodiama Clan has congratulated the 15-year-old Divine Ebikoro Ojoye for scoring an impressive 327 in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Ebikoro, from Gelegele-Gbene in Olodiama clan, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo state, achieved exceptional results, with only 0.48% of candidates scoring above 300.

The IYC is appealing to the Presidential Amnesty Program and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to grant Ebikoro an automatic scholarship to study Medicine and Surgery within Nigeria or abroad.

Citing the challenging economic situation, the IYC noted that Ebikoro’s parents may struggle to afford his admission fees, emphasising the need for support to nurture his potential.

The IYC urges the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta to rally behind Ebikoro, ensuring his talent is not wasted.

Ebikoro’s UTME scores:

-English: 71

– Physics: 95

– Chemistry: 84

– Biology: 77

– Aggregate score: 327

Ayenimibofa David Apohi, Information Officer, Olodiama Clan IYC Western Zone, made the call.
