Otuaro visits correctional centre, marks birthday with inmates in Delta

The immediate past deputy governor of Delta State, Deacon (Barr) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro has visited Warri correctional centre to
celebrated his birthday with inmates in the state.

The historic event took place on Monday 15th April 2024 at Warri correctional centre when the celebrant was flanked by other personalities.

Congress learnt that Otuaro was welcomed by the deputy controller of the Warri correctional centre, Mr Lucky Joseph Edo.

However, Joseph, in his welcome remark, expressed his happiness for the glorious works the immediate past deputy governor had been doing for the Warri correctional centre.

His words: “It is my pleasure to welcome you to this correctional centre for your birth anniversary. I wish you happy birthday and many more years ahead.

“Sir, I feel most very important to mention two things you have been doing in Warri correctional centre. About some months ago you mounted several televisions set here, you also send money to register a number of candidates to write NECO exam. And you know sir, all staff and good inmates of this centre are wishing you happy birthday. Your visit today has bring hope to our inmates after prison sentence. Thank you sir. Before I go I have three inmates who say they want to see you one on one”.

However, Otuaro, thanked Dr Chris Oyakhilome for the great privilege given to him to be doing what he is doing.

The statement reads, “I want to use this medium to thank our man of God. Dr pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy, I want to thank him very much. The reason why we are here today is under his directive, motivation and inspiration. We have being visiting this place before I became deputy governor. Generally people called me, Deacon praise the Lord in this correctional centre”.

The former deputy governor, Otuaro noted that the greatest thing for any successful man to do is to find the need of the people and meet that need.

“We all knew that there’s a need in this place and basically that need is the word of God, our focus is to pass that message to you. It is only God that can make one a better man/woman then every other thing is to support your life. And the Rhapsody of reality contains God’s word. It is only the word of God can change you to a better person”.

The celebrant further encouraged inmates to study the Rhapsody of realities everyday of their life to get what they want.

Deacon Otuaro also donated items to inmates such as 200 pieces of mantras (Form), wrappers for female, 100 pack of Minerals, Toiletries, Toothpaste, Brush, over 1,000 pack of food (rice), and drugs worth #500,0000. Also promised to give pairs of football jersey to inmates and buy computer sets to the correctional CBT centre.

Meantime, Otuaro commended Dr Chris Oyakhilome, Mummy Marry Owase, Warri Ministry centre pastor and the representatives from the Church Pst Marilyn Ogaga and others.

Also speaking, Pst Marilyn Ogaga group pastor from Edjeba who gave vote of thanks, also channelled her appreciation to Dr Chris Oyakhilome, mummy Mary Owase, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro for their good hearts, and thanked all the pastor who attended the event, the correctional staff, and everyone that make out time to join Deacon Otuaro to celebrate his birthday at the correctional centre.
