PDP splits as NWC endorses Wike Party Congress in Rivers

The Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee has handed Rivers State’s control to Nyesom Wike, solidifying his position in the party’s leadership crisis.

The NWC endorsed the Rivers State congresses, which was a point of contention between Wike and the PDP Governors Forum, particularly the current Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

This decision has postponed the National Executive Committee meeting, which could have overturned the decision, to October 21.
